Independently Tested to the Highest Standards
Every Koller product undergoes rigorous safety testing before it reaches your vehicle. All testing is carried out at independent, accredited facilities including MIRA, VOSC, TÜV, and VCA approved laboratories.
Our manufacturing is ISO 9001:2015 certified, ensuring consistent quality in every product we make.
Wheelchair Restraints & Occupant Restraints
Our webbing restraints feature quick-action mechanisms that are easy to operate in everyday use and quick to release in an emergency. Every restraint uses closed-end fittings as standard, preventing any possibility of accidental detachment from the wheelchair.
Testing standards:
- ISO 10542 – Dynamic crash test using an 85kg surrogate wheelchair with 76.3kg dummy at 20g/48km/h
- ISO 7176-19 – Crash testing with specific wheelchair models
- Many Koller restraints are tested beyond minimum ISO 10542 requirements (see individual product maximum wheelchair weights)
- All webbing components conform to UN/ECE Regulation No.16
- Removable Seat Fixings
Secure Seat Fixing
Our removable seat fixings have been tested with a wide range of seats, both on test rigs and in real vehicles. Each fixing features an easy-to-operate locking mechanism with integrated anti-rattle design, providing secure installation while allowing quick and straightforward vehicle reconfiguration.
Testing standards:
- ECE Regulation 14.04 and EEC Directive 76/115/EEC (as amended by 96/38/EEC and 2005/41/EEC)
- Tested to both M1 and M2 load requirements:
- M1 load: 27 kN + (20 × seat mass)
- M2 load: 13.5 kN + (10 × seat mass)
These load cases apply to forward-facing seats fitted with integral lap and diagonal belts.
Floor Rails
Koller floor rails form the structural basis for configuring seating and wheelchair restraint layouts within accessible vehicles. They allow seats and wheelchair restraint systems to be fitted, repositioned or removed while maintaining compliance with relevant safety standards.
Koller rails are tested as part of an integrated system with Koller seat fixings and wheelchair and wheelchair occupant restraint systems.
Most commonly specified options include:
- Low Profile Rail – the standard solution for the majority of vehicle conversions
- Bonded Floor Solutions- Strong and lightweight aluminium alloy floor system with integrated rail compatibility for maximum layout flexibility
When used with Koller seat fixings and restraint systems, both rail options are compliant with EEC Directive 76/115/EEC (as amended) and ISO 10542 / ISO 7176-19.
